Team Christians In Motorsport Ferrari The 13th and 14th of August saw the first corporate hospitality days organised by CIM. Through the generous support of Hector Lester and his Ferrari GT team we were able to entertain a number of guests in a professional way. Both of the team drivers attended a pre drive briefing and de-briefing. The group on the sunday were treated to an excellent race. Hector, taking the first stint, was knocked off a damp track into a gravel trap. Fortunately he was able to extract himself and join the back of the pack, behind the safety car. After 45 mins of the race he handed the car over to Allan Simonsen "One of the true stars of the series" according to the commentator. He bought the car home second in class, by one one thousandth of a second. It was an excellent recovery drive, made more difficult by the decision to continue running on slicks (Allans preference) through the rain. This decision proved decisive as the rain cleared and the track dried, leaving Allan lapping some 13/15 seconds per lap quicker.
